The Event

Second Saudi Energy Forum &ampl Exhibition

We would like to thank all of the participants of the Saudi Energy Forum for contributing to its outstanding success. Over 800 key industry figures from over 30 countries attended the Forum, which took place from 18th – 20th November in Dammam and was co-organised with the Ministry of Petroleum & Mineral Resources and Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

The Ministry of Petroleum & Mineral Resources utilised the Saudi Energy Forum to announce plans for a new export oil refinery in Jizan and to unveil the National Industrial Cluster Development Program (NICDP). The program aims to diversify the Saudi economy away from oil towards four manufacturing clusters: automotive, appliances, metal processing and construction.

The Governor of the Eastern Province, H.R.H. Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Bin Abdulaziz inaugurated the Forum on Saturday 18th November and the Ministry’s participation was led by H.R.H. Prince Faisal Bin Turki Bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources.

We are pleased to announce that the next Forum in our series of annual events in Dammam, Saudi Mega Projects 2007, will take place in Dammam from 17th – 19th November 2007. In addition to developments in oil and gas, the Forum will encompass many of the closely linked and growing downstream sectors and discuss requirements for the Kingdom’s many "mega projects" and will be accompanied by an international exhibition.

Saudi Arabia’s premier biennial event – Leveraging hydrocarbons to create prosperity.
